This beer was one of the first batches brewed in the Harrisonburg location, designed by brewer Mary Morgan, they loved it so much they wanted to bring it to Cville. This German ale has a mild spiciness from the rye (roggen), infused with an herbal tea consisting of strawberry leaves, local woodruff from Pebble Hall Wild Flowers in Weyer’s Cave, Virginia, chamomile and honey. The herbs/spice profile is supported by a pleasantly sweet, malty/fruity base, coming primarily from the hearty amount of Munich malt. Keep Reading
