While some historical records indicate Sixpoint Brewery was founded in 2004, the real birth of Sixpoint begins at the dawn of civilization. That is when the earliest societies began cultivating cereal grains to make fermented beverages, and the desire for excellence in the craft of brewing was forged. Even during the earliest civilizations, rich iconography had adorned various brewing vessels, and pictographs depicting the craft of brewing were rife with symbolism. An Outer Banks sweets specialist is preparing to bring their treats to RVA. Duck Donuts began serving their fresh-made donuts in Duck, N.C., in 2006 and quickly developed a loyal following. They’ve grown to have locations throughout the OBX area and now, they’re looking to serve their donuts closer to home.

Robin Griffith, co-owner of Duck Donuts, has confirmed that the tasty institute is in the process of scouting a Richmond location. After opening up shop in Williamsburg, Richmond will be their second storefront outside of North Carolina. Although no timetable has been set, our mouths are already watering at the thought of their arrival.
