This old fashioned donut shop is a staple for early morning commuters to stop in for a cup of coffee and delicious treats. Paul’s Bakery features everything from cupcakes, birthday cakes, cookies, pastries, and pies. Paul’s has been family owned and operated since 1973 making it the longest family owned and operated bakery in Fredericksburg!
3. The Happy Clam

While people come to the happy clam for their great southern fried seafood, they stay for the delicious homemade pies. Pat Moncure has been has been baking up some of the most sought after pies in the area since the restaurant opened in the seventies. Her most popular include, strawberry, coconut creme, chocolate peanut butter, and lemon meringue. Make sure to save room for a slice after your meal or take a whole pie home with you!

Colonial Cupcake is the cupcake authority in downtown Fredericksburg. You can build your own cupcake or choose from the the delicious options they already have. Mason-Dixon bakes up some of the best muffins and pies in Fredericksburg. However their bread pudding with caramel rum sauce is a must get item anytime you visit them, they offer tons of fruit themed cakes as well.
