This UVA alum is a well traveled man, gaining experience from around the globe, but he hasn’t forgotten his culinary roots with his family in Virginia. He is the owner of the Brookville Restaurant on the Historic Downtown.
3. Mike Isabella, DC
Mike is the owner and chef at Graffiato. It’s an Italian-inspired restaurant with hand rolled pastas and an open ham bar. His restaurant breaks the wall between chef and diner, so don’t be shy and strike up a conversation. If you want to see some mouthwatering pictures check out Mike on twitter.
4. Jason Alley, Richmond
For affordable small plate, tapas-style soul food. Go to Pasture. They don’t just have delicious Southern cuisine, they also have great regional beers. Try the candybar for dessert. Jason knows his southern food.
5. Jesse Sandlin, Baltimore
Jesse calls herself a “culinary mercenary” which is “a ronin chef, hired for the advancement and improvement of one’s operation, be it new, or old.” but don’t worry, it’s not all about the money for this mercenary. She has an unmatched passion and is available for private dining. Check out her Instagram for food porn, and adorable pictures of her basset hound and piggy.

Ginny Morgan has recently been promoted to executive chef at The Surf Club Ocean Grille. Ginny has a passion for fresh, local and sustainable. She has partnered with Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Museum to educate her staff and community about the importance of marine life.
