Charlottesville’s Continental Divide will open a Richmond location, according to media reports.
Continental Divide, an awesomely popular cantina located on W. Main Street in CVille, will launch a second location in RVA, according to reports. Continental Divide will replace Mint Gastropub at 2501 W. Main Street in RVA.
At 3:07 pm on Tuesday afternoon, Continental Divide posted this message on their Facebook page about their new RVA location:
Mint Gastropub is headed to the CanalWalk, where it will partner with the F.W. Sullivan’s group. Mint Gastropub, which is owned by Chef Malcolm Mitchell, a former competitor on the Food Network, will take over the private party space beside Sully’s on the Canal at 1001 Haxall Point. Mint Gastropub is expected to close its Fan location in mid-March.
This is the second Charlottesville restaurant to launch a Richmond location in 2014. Andrew Vaughan, one of the partners behind Rapture Restaurant & Nightclub, which is located on The CVille Downtown Mall, announced that he will open a Christian’s Pizza in Richmond’s Village Shopping Center this spring.
