Glass House Winery is a boutique winery in the heart of the Monticello Wine Trail in central Virginia. Craft artisan wines are made solely from grapes grown on the property and in the region. Twelve acres are currently under vine on site with carefully selected grapes that bring out the best of the terroir in the region. The grapes are cultivated with meticulous care, while striving to treat the Earth as respectfully and gently as possible in the process.

Owners Jeff and Michelle Sanders moved to Virginia in 2006. They were awed by the lush landscape, the beauty of the Blue Ridge and the friendliness of the people. While searching for a way to marry Jeff’s botanical skills with Michelle’s love of creating unique chocolates, the couple discovered Virginia’s promising wine industry. It was a perfect match and Glass House Winery was born.

With a tropical flair, artisan wines and chocolates and a very distinctive setting, Glass House is a truly one-of-a-kind winery. They offer estate wines, blends, a very unique chocolate wine and Glass House Winery’s own brand of handmade chocolates.

Moss Vineyards was founded with the vision and dream of providing people with the highest quality American wines, hand-crafted in a breathtaking Blue Ridge mountain setting in the heart of Virginia. The wines are produced with great attention to the science and art of growing and blending grapes that result in fine, balanced wines. The mountaintop vineyard and winery were designed and built to offer guests and visitors what is simply one of the most beautiful vineyard and winery experiences to be had in Virginia.

Moss Vineyard wines are made with serious consideration to every element that is required to bottle some of the very best wines anywhere in the world. They have an ideal terroir in the historic Monticello wine-grape growing area of Thomas Jefferson’s Virginia; the support and knowledge of some of region’s – and the world’s – master winemakers; and a drive and dedication to produce nothing less than the best.

The vineyard is at 1000 feet above sea level and contains 5,000 Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Viognier, and Vermentino vines. This is a true labor of love and dedication to the experience of being on this mountain, growing some of the world’s finest grapes, and crafting incredibly special wines.

White Hall Vineyards is a farm winery located just 13 miles from historic Charlottesville, Virginia. At an elevation of 800 feet, the winery has lovely grounds, a pleasantly shaded picnic area, and a spectacular view of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

Owners Tony and Edie Champ set the tone for the winery’s signature style: a fruit-forward richer taste than is typical in Virginia. The Champs selected this Albemarle County site for its combination of open land, glorious scenery, and the local community which strongly supports the growing wine industry. The estate’s 800 foot elevation and constant mountain breezes make this location ideal for world-class vineyards.

From a winemaking standpoint, the house style is accomplished by targeting higher than average fruit maturity and aging the majority of lots sur lie. Combining attentive vineyard practices with modern winemaking techniques has resulted in the consistent production of wines of excellence.

The winery boasts a handsome tasting room and a state-of-the art production area. A visit to the vineyard has been described by some as “pure romance”, “winemaking at its best”, and “the perfect Sunday afternoon excursion”.
