Some big changes are coming to Starr Hill Brewery, and next weekend, they’ll be celebrating with fun, music, and plenty of beer.

The brewery’s tasting room has undergone a major renovation, resulting in one of the most inviting tasting areas we’ve seen thus far. Double its original size, the brewery’s adjunct tasting room is exactly the kind of place you’ll want to kick back this summer. It’s been upgraded with all-new soundproof walls and windows, allowing visitors to watch the bottling and canning in action while ensuring that the grinding gears of the machines won’t disturb your stay. They’ve also equipped the facility with air conditioning, which had been one of the most frequently voiced complaints of the previous setup. Even more, there’s a full stage for live music, and of course, a top of the line draft system which will have all of the breweries’ beers on tap.

Are you excited yet? Wait, there’s more. On April 18 through 20, Starr Hill will be hosting a grand opening of the tasting room, complete with live music from Red Light Rodeo and food from local trucks Morsel Compass Mobile Kitchen and Big Easy Metro Market. Of course, there’s also the beer, which includes the release of several limited edition styles like the summer seasonal Soul Shine Belgian-Style Pale Ale.

“We’re hoping to recreate some of the magic from the original brewpub by bringing back the music, while offering innovative beers and showcasing one of Virginia’s largest production breweries. We want our fans to make this space their own, just as they did when Starr Hill was on West Main Street. We hope everyone will join us for our Grand Opening,” said Founder and Master Brewer Mark Thompson.
