Built in 1906, since 1909, The Popkin Building at 123 W. Broad has served Richmond as a furniture showroom. Part of furniture Row, the Popkin building was home to Popkin furniture from 1968 until 2004.

popkin1Popkin Tavern was renovated in 2006. The building underwent a transformation to 18 luxury apartments and Popkin Tavern on the first floor. Popkin Tavern is Richmond’s first Gastro Pub and also has a global beer selection and extensive wine list.

They feature a unique atmosphere, 18 draft beers, eclectic wine list, and some of the best food in town.

Many of the regulars are tenants who live in the renovated furniture warehouse apartments over the bar. Three TVs, two pool tables and original maple flooring mash up against contemporary photography showcasing Richmond landmarks. If a bar could offer something for everyone, this would be that bar.

Stop by and see them!
