Beauregard is the same General PGT Beauregard who fought in the Civil War or the War Between the States. After the war, he retired to New Orleans where he became successful in trade and commerce. He developed an affinity for flavorful spiced food and classical ambiance, a trademark of the gentleman.
At Beauregard’s Thai Room today they have expanded that ambiance. The building is an original Richmond classic. The rear walled patio is designed after the Three Sisters Courtyard in New Orleans. Their front patio extends an open welcome to casual hospitality. The upstairs dining parlor is draped for two or larger parties. In keeping with Mr. Beauregard’s taste for flavorful food, their gourmet chef, David, prepares classic Thai dishes in Richmond’s first and finest Thai Restaurant.
