Port City Revival Stout is a limited edition beer that they made with oysters from War Shore Oyster Company. Crafted by Head Brewer Jonathan Reeves, this beer is brewed in the British and Irish tradition of oyster stouts. They steep War Shore’s Chesapeake Bay oyster shells in the brewing water to add mineral content and then add the oysters and their liquor to the brew during the boil. The oysters add a subtle whiff of a sea breeze, a slight briny character and a smooth textural element to the beer.

Roanoke Railhouse uses six different types of hops and their unique “Hopburst” process to make this tasty IPA. Broken Knuckle has a wonderful hop aroma and flavor, subdued malt with balanced bitterness, with a stunning copper color. Their version of an IPA is universally more food friendly than others you may have tried.

Archie is an American Brown Ale. Archie pours a rich dark brown color with a thick off-white head that lasts and leaves a nice lacing on the glass. It features an aroma that contains hints of citrus and bakers chocolate. Archie’s flavor provides a burst of citrus hop character and balances with a subtle caramel and bread notes. You will have to Stakeout a place at the bar for this complex ale.

A Scottish Wee Heavy style ale that is malty and smooth with a minimal hop impact. This beer is a dark amber color with a creamy off-white head. The aroma is bready with honey-like notes that blend together like sopapillas. Full-bodied, but not too thick, this beer has all the malty sweet flavors of a traditional Scottish ale with a subtle smokiness and the added complexity of oak and imported black treacle. At 7.8% ABV, this beer is strong, yet incredibly smooth and easy to drink. This is a dangerously quaffable ale.
