Hartwood Winery is one of the areas best kept secrets. Started by Jim Livingston in the eighties, he made this the first commercial winery in Stafford, Virginia. Offering several reds and whites, some named after nearby landmarks. But there most flavorful might be there 2010 Tannat, bursting with tons of flavors, it is a can’t miss!

This great winery in the middle of Spotsylvania County offers some of the best wines throughout the east coast. This exceptional winery is a bit off the beaten path, but a can’t miss if traveling west of Fredericksburg. their Vidal Blanc and Virginia Red Select are great selections. And make sure to stop in and see their brand new bar inside the historic farm house.

6. Oak Crest Vineyeard & Winery

Paul’s Bakery features everything from cupcakes, birthday cakes, cookies, pastries, and pies. Paul’s has been family owned and operated since 1973 making it the longest family owned and operated bakery in Fredericksburg!

While people come to the happy clam for their great southern fried seafood, they stay for the delicious homemade pies. Pat Moncure has been has been baking up some of the most sought after pies in the area since the restaurant opened in the seventies.
