Come early or stay late – this block party will go on all day! Richmond will welcome music and street entertainers, food venders, and a record-breaking, 1,000 foot water slide with a portion of proceeds going to the Special Olympics Virginia.

The annual Richmond Vegetarian festival presents music, speakers, and plenty of plant-based food like this vegan BBQ sandwich! The free event attracts around 10,000 people each year. Dogs are welcome!

6. Maymont Glow Run: July 9th

This family-centered, 3-mile run allows walkers and racers alike to see Maymont Park in a new light – after-hours and illuminated! Profits from the race will go toward upkeep of grounds and programs at Maymont.

7. Bon Secours Redskins Training Camp: July 28th – August 14th

Since 2013, fans have flocked to the Redskins’ Training Center to observe on-field practices. Time permitting, players and coaches are available afterward to take pictures, shake hands, and sign autographs. The biggest highlight of the off-season is Fan Appreciation Day on August 13th. 8. Festival of Arts At Dogwood Dell

For more than 60 years, Dogwood Dell has hosted a summer-long celebration of the arts featuring art exhibits, concerts, dance performances, and theatric productions!
